They just had a JMU helmet on the set desk of ESPN College Football Final on ESPNU and gave Cardon Johnson a helmet sticker.

The more buzz-worthy we are, the more justified it will be have us host CGD if the cards land right.

Yeah, I was sitting in a sportsbar at 7:30 Sunday and saw a repeat of that on espn. Pretty impressive! Go Cardon and go Dukes!

Only problem is the announcer kind of tripped over/rushed over his intro to JMU FCS Champions but nice to see the helmet there with the sticker. JMU especially with the Lee Fitting connection should make sure that ESPN has the most recent helmets that the team wears. All part of our branding.

That is our most recent helmet. The gold helmet is always the standard and the logo was current. We have 25 helmets these days so who cares. It's the same one they gave Lee Corso on College Gameday.

Having "JMU" is better anyway, no one will recognize a Duke Dog head or a blue "M".

That said, I assume our "JMU" helmets have been updated with the new logo, so that one certainly needs to go.

Yea it is technically our most recent gold helmet but that logo is the old one. Looked like from the UNISWAG snapchat takeover last week that we actually aren't using a gold helmet this year, it was the black with the chrome duke dog, the white helmets they wore Saturday, and a purple with the new JMU logo.

I know I may one of the few, but I'm glad to see the gold helmets go (if true). While it will be weird to see it gone, it makes sense to me, unless we incorporated more gold (*cough* gold pants ). The purple helmet with the JMU logo is awesome. It looks like the white helmet may be the helmet we see the most this year, although the other two are great.
It makes sense not to use the script "Dukes" this year, especially after going through a new branding phase not even a year ago. Had that been part of the brand, I'd say that it needs to be there.

Back on topic- is there anywhere we could see that segment? I missed it and would love to see it.

anyone have video of it? tried to look at a replay on watch espn app, but alas nothing.
