My wife, who cares nothing about football, just saw the uniforms and asked if we borrowed them from the SWAC. I don't think she was joking.

I thought the unis were pretty sharp. Others have told me the same. Going gold instead of black for a day game to open the season isn't a bad idea anyway in terms of dealing with the weather.

A real logo on the helmet was way overdue. I won't complain about the threads ever again as long as the pants stay the same color on the front as on the back.

Personally I loved the Eaglehead Logo on the helmet. I also liked the Gold unis also, I understand that some on here might not have liked them, but someone mentioned us looking like a team from the SWAC, not hardly! It seems like every year someone from this board compares us to a SWAC team based on our uniforms. I will admit I think I liked the All Gold Unis from the New Orleans Bowl vs Troy better than these All Gold unis this year...but I like the whole concept of have several different combos using the Black and the Gold and the White. Mizzu and West Virginia do it...and they are far from a SWAC team. The Eaglehead logo helmet is really going to look good on our other combination unis too.

As long as we're wearing Russell uni's...we will look like a SWAC team.
