How big is the cal QB? He looks tiny. Also UNC defender gonna get kicked out of the game for targeting.

Both UNC quarterbacks are 6'3" and range from 215-220. UNC's defense looks susceptible to the pass to me. I hope our quarterback is ready for that game.

A brand new QB for Cal who had never taken a college snap torched UNC today. Louisville will rout them and they will come into Norfolk 0-2.

We could not handle the run, what ODU runs the ball well, oh sh-t.

Ya, at some point the team has to learn how to win. The 0-2 start is disappointing and will take a few days for my spirit to recover. Something has to change.

I watched a lot of it live. They looked really good and aggressive on D. Looking for a moral victory but hope we catch em sleeping.

VT gave up almost 600 yards. Not very impressed with defense, but Im sure it will improve. The QB looked poised but didnt seem under pressure much. Gonna have to put a spy on him

I will have to look at the play-by-play to confirm. but, IMHO WVA lost that game, VT didn't win it.

It appeared to me that WVA completely abandoned the run and the medium passing game in the entire 4th qtr after the tie. Grier seemed obsessed with the bomb, which BTW, VT covered well.

He either threw into double coverage, or checked down to a safety valve behind the line which went nowhere.

WVA ran for 6.3 yards per carry for the game, and IMHO needed to mix it up in the 4th.
Seems all they got were 3 and outs.

I would agree they got a little pass happy and Grier took too many risks downfield. Did they have 8 in box? They had a lot of success on the ground earlier in game.

If Wilder and Whitcomb can get Hoy up to speed and in the lineup, ODU has a chance.

Coach Foster is praying that it's Larussa.

Huh. That is a lot. Didn't seem like it. I was watching but not. On while doing other stuff in the room.

Maybe I got momentarily pessimistic watching them tackle. I'm jaded in our inept history of missed tackles and I was bewildered by people making 1 on 1 tackles. =]

Im sure Jordan Hoy is keeping Bud Foster up at night in a panic.

yep, if Hoy is as great as Sirloin Burger is making him out to be then Hoy would be dressed in VT gear and playing for the Hokies.

I'm not a Hoy fanboy, I'm a proponent of using the dual threat option. His name just happens to be Hoy.

Hopefully, Coach Wilder and Coach Whitcomb will have him ready by the time the heels come to town.

If Hoy is really that good and the answer, he would have already beaten BL out for the QB spot. Funny how Coach Wilder went back to BL after Hoy totally ran into the on coming D-lineman for the remainder of the game. Hmmm!!!???

As others have said it may change at some point, but BL is clearly the best QB on the roster right now. Hoy has talent but is lost. Its really that simple. Thats why they are trying to get him into the game with very basic plays. Read options and one read slants or screens.
