Shawun Lurry
Is it just me or did Shawun Lurry get soft after his breakout year? Come on bro. How do you let a cramp keep you off the field?

It wasn't just Lurry, you'd think our guys were a bunch of senior citizens they were going down so much.

They only went down or cramped up after big yard plays by BC. That was a blatant coaching tactic to slow down the pace of BC. Very bush league when it is done that many times. It was 100% part of the game plan.

I think Lurry was 3rd team all American because of his interceptions two years ago. With that said, many of those were him being in the right spot at the right time, and to some degree luck. He's okay, but injuries and size are his downfall

Lurry is a stud. He was awesome last year as well. Should've had five mor picks last year but he dropped them. He was injured quite a bit last year and it looks like he'll be hurt often this year as well.

He has ball skills and speed, but other than that he's injury prone. Every time he has to tackle someone it's scary.....He's always at risk for injury.

I thought I read Carey's lips of "good job" when Larry came off

What?

The tempo wasn't even that fast. Take a look at half the Mac teams with their tempo.

So tell me...what was the signal relayed to each player that let them know specifically who and when they should go down?

Of course "good job" couldn't have been associated with any performance related matters.

Huh? Yes, the tempo was fast.

Larry had just broken up a pass when he landed wrong and got hurt. That one was legit as were the others. Except for the three times guys shoes came off and they had to stay down because BC was running another play. It was annoying but smart. By the way, there's no way we should have lost that game.

He is a risk/reward like player.
Next time he could miss resulting in a TD for them.
I am glad it all worked out against Nebraska.
I still don't think he plays the whole season.

Really? When's the last time you saw Lurry get burned for a TD? On the FOX broadcast they quoted Kane saying teams never throw at Lurry.

Injuries are a concern, but admit you're wrong and move on.

7 is correct, he doesn't give up many TDs and is rarely thrown at. When he is, he usually makes a play and the times he doesn't it rarely ends in a TD.

Injuries and form tackling are his biggest issues. But I'll take maybe one 15 or so yard gain on him agame for the chance at a big INT return or basically thinking one side of the field is not going to be in play for the offense.

I am still waiting for you to admit you were wrong about Britt Davis.
I will admit it when the season is over. 11 games left. Last year people threw at him. He gambles which is great when correct.
He did have an unsportsmanlike penalty at the end of the game.
BC through at him and he missed the INT on a 3rd down play.
He is very good but not all world to me.

RE: Shawun Lurry
Why didn't Riley use both timeouts after the pick with 1:36 left?
I think NEB could have gotten the ball back with a few seconds to throw a Hail Mary.
An we need anything can happen.

It's plays like this that will force offenses to go away from him again. Greatness is never achieved through risk aversion.
