He always scheduled poor teams OOC so he could win 20 games and get a performance bonus but it left us unprepared for conference play. Other than the CBI win, in seven seasons, we made it to two NITs with a 1-2 record. His first couple of years he had a couple of top-150 kids almost ready to sign then he would say or do something on a home visit and they would go somewhere else (one was Jerome Randle who ended up at Cal). After that it's like he gave up on recruiting highly recruited players.

I have no idea why ECU's athletic department won't get serious about basketball. It's like it won't even try.

Wojcik was abusive to players after signed and some fans as well. During games it usually wasn't fun to sit near the home bench. He was let go at Charleston after one of his profanity laced tirades went public. TU/Wojcik won the initial CBI title with mainly talent DW did not recruit. His main claim to fame was being David Robinson's roommate at Navy.

But good luck to ECU. If it somehow improves the program, its a good thing for the AAC.
