Be a Wichita State fan and have to sit around and play with yourself until basketball season starts. You might be ranked in basketball but you'll most likely get knocked out by a premier program in the second round.

or...

Be a G4 fan that has a football team in a conference with a deal worth peanuts and an unsure future. Keep in mind most of these schools field a JV basketball squad.

Discuss.

Wichita State fan, because then I could just adopt ECU as my football team. No need to worry about the basketball conflict of interest as long as Lebo is there.

I can imagine. I love Temple basketball but Temple football will always be first for me.

Depends. In this scenario am I playing with the typical little Witchita State fan schmeckle, or my own gloriously ample pedro?

I was always a big TUMBB fan. Wasn't really a big CFB fan and paid more attention to UF than Temple. I went to TUFB games growing up but didn't care. By the time I transferred to Temple, I realized I liked CFB more, and was more into TUFB than TUMBB.

Do you know what it feels like to be the #1 seed in a national tournament followed closely by 10's of millions of people? How about a perfect season where your school is talked every EVERY night on ESPN for an entire year? You need to grab a clue brother...

The only school in this league that can even remotely compare themselves to the fame and fortune that Wichita State has enjoyed of late is UCORN, and UCORN has currently fallen into the corn maze abyss. So we're all alone as the superstars of this league. All your teams' middling-to-poor efforts on the field in the "GREATEST SPORT ON THE PLANET" pales in comparison to reaching the highest level in college basketball. Our Final Four alone was purported to have been worth over half a billion in media exposure. The Shockers perfect season the following year and subsequent top 10 greatest NCAA tournament game in history added hundreds of millions on top of that.

Numerous old school Kentucky fans said it was the greatest NCAA tournament game they had ever witnessed as a Kentucky fan. Let me translate that into football speak: This would be like Houston playing Alabama in the Fiesta Bowl and Alabama winning by a field goal exclaiming this was one of the finest games they've ever witnessed.

So sit down AAC fans. Be humble. Your John Deere Weed Eater Bowl trophy against Texas Tech pales in comparison to the respect this conference will earn if Wichita State goes deep in THE tournament this year.

Definitely Wichita State. G4 just because they "play" football doesn't make the relevant. I'm sure WSU fans might watch aac football games.
