Houston vs. Boise would be sweet.
So you expected USF to play a perfect game one, with no preseason, a new coach, and entire new staff, travelling 3000 miles and 3 time zones away?
And by the way, SJSU's entire first quarter run was based off USF mistakes, for example USF having a punt blocked by a bad blocking assignment, giving SJSU a 6 yard field.
USF takes care of the punting game, then they win by 35-40 points or more. As it is, USF scored FORTY TWO unanswered points. In the second quarter alone, USF put up 28 points and nearly 300 yards of offense...in 1 quarter.
I'm kinda glad it did happen though. Woke our guys up and let them realize the preseason ranking meant nothing if they don't play well.

Based off what? The fact that they traveled across the country with a new coach in their first game of the year that was not against an FCS team, and they scored 42 unanswered points? Let's give it a couple games shall we Mr. hot take.
They have a horrifically easy schedule, which is going to hurt them. Anything less than 13-0, and they will miss the NY6 bowl. I think Memphis could drop UCLA and possibly UCF, as long as they're close games, and still have a better chance than if USF drops 1.
This is a disservice to the rest of AAC. The OOC schedule on paper is not that challenging, however Houston and Tulsa could easily be top 25 teams by the time we play them. UCF could have a great year also. Too early to say where these teams will be. USF might be playing an undefeated or 1 loss Houston or Tulsa.

The entire West division projected to a bowl except Tulane. Nice. I also think Temple will go bowling. Could be up to 9 AAC teams bowling, if the math works out right without us beating each other up too badly.

Tulane will have to pull an upset or two to win 6 games. But it's do-able.
Agree that the conference could put as many as 9 teams in bowls. Probably won't include each of the teams projected to do so by Sports Illustrated, though.

Exactly. I have no idea why SI has ECU in a any bowl after this weeks performance. That said, maximum improvement typically comes between weeks one and two. Both Temple and ECU looked like they need to get better. I certainly saw more reasons for Temple fans to be optimistic.

6 wins? It's ECU. He only needs 2 wins for a raise and extension.
