Probably a good call. Hopefully things can be worked out enough that it doesn't affect the scheduling of any other games.

Very critical stressful situation here... I was hoping for a change of distraction but can't fault them for postponing game/s one bit.

Good decision, sad that the game won't be played (I don't think it will).

I've seen the suggestion of UTSA and UAB moving their game and it working out, but I agree, they'll probably just scratch it. No reason to move a meaningless OOC game to our bye week, conference play is more important.

thats a lose lose for utsa...win your division and losevmillions or root for your own team not to make a ccg...

Utsa is new to FBS, I don't even know why we even bother to help them when they made the jump... I hope we never schedule them again, screw them.

we are the ones technically screwing them...this is a bad financial situation on their end from all perspective.

It's pretty much a guaranteed loss for UTSA so they might as well not play it. If they're at five-wins at the end of the season, it's not like this game was going to be the one to get them bowl-eligible.

Now, if by some freak of nature Houston ends up at 5-6 at the end...

didn't utsa beat the snot out of Houston a few years ago when you opened your new stadium, 27-7. Aren't you 1-1 vs them?

Are UH fans dumb or what? How the hell is UTSA to blame for any of this? They did not decline a Dec. 2 meeting either, they are just doing their due diligence and exploring all options. It'd be stupid to lock ourselves into that date right away. There's no rush. I'm sure if by midseason, our conference championship aspirations dwindle Lynn Hickey would be a lot more open to a game on that date.
