not really sure what's left to be said other than the weather may play an important factor if the rain continues to hang around....

The excitement is honestly pretty dead around USM. I don't know anyone who's just super pumped about this year, mostly because there's no real expectations. We've got Ito and...that's basically all that's sure.

dunno about all that.....we still have a few good receivers, a solid TE that never drops the ball, and a couple of other pretty decent backs at the skill positions....

we'll find two things out on offense saturday.....do we have a qb that can make the right decision a majority of the time, and can our OL provide the protection/blocking to be successful within the plays being called???

as for the defense, I'll believe the hop-a-long speakelese when I see it...

I'll admit, I'm not holding my breath on any being successful saturday....

I think KY hands our arse to us.....

I find myself extremely ho-hum for the season.....Hate to say that, but it's pretty true.

Aint that the truth. No expectations usually means good things ahead. But yeah, I'm not excited either.

So about Griggs finger...could it be worse than made out to be? Is it the throwing hand?

Hard to say. Half of me thinks that it's a ploy by the coaches to keep UK game planning for two guys but he did miss practice time. The other half of me thinks it could be worse than they projected.

To be honest last season took the wind out of my sails. I was excited with Nick at the helm, Ito in the backfield, and our receiving corps. I thought we'd et another conference title. But after losing to Troy and UNCC and UNT and ODU last year after nick got hurt, having to scrap our way into the post season and our inability to smash it down ULL's throat in the bowl game when we clearly dominated most of the game have all left me cautious about this season. I think not having a proven QB or an experienced O-Line is going to hurt us worse than a lot of people think. And if our defense keeps giving up so many points and big plays, we're in for a long season.
