Thanks. I was not aware of the news. I read somewhere that the hosting was planned for the UCLA game.

I am just hoping this isn't the disaster I am expecting of an empty stadium and frequent lightning delays.

I went to the UT Martin game and admit I left at halftime.

Hopefully, the storm will start to drift a little. But, it looks like we're going to get pounded with rain. Pretty rough setting for the first game of the season.

That was the 1st game with the new scoreboard.

Fans were treated to weather reports on the scoreboard from a 50 foot tall Dave Brown. Looked like one of those 60s movies where King Kong destroys Tokyo.

What are the dimensions of the LBS in cubits? Have to wonder if the drainage system could hold that much water? Southern for sure will have pockets of standing water and flooding. Same for the underpass on Central around Tobey.

Team most likely will have to take a long way around to get to stadium.

That's probably 95% of the reason. GP also said (earlier this week) that Norvell really wanted this slot to start the season.

We do somersaults with our schedule to play a game on Thursday--- with a late kickoff--- and with the probability of lightning delays pushing back the kickoff even more. For freaking CBS Sports-- not even ESPN.
