Looking at the latest forecast, it may make sense to reschedule the game for Sunday afternoon. Current forecast is for HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS Thursday night. 3-5 inches of rain with flooding possible. Throw in a good chance of lightning delays and the game will be practically unplayable. NOBODY will be there, especially for the 2nd half.

Yep, rain just gets you wet. Lightning gets you killed.

BTW - The four in my group have already decided we're not going because of this forecast ---

i sat in the pouring rain for hours in jonesboro

and they did not even play the game

No word from the school on this, but yea, maybe consideration of moving the game is being discussed. Two problems though is this is a scheduled tv game and our open week (bye) is later in the year (don't know when their open date is.

I think it will be out of here by Saturday night. Hope we are looking st rescheduling

I would rather have the short week than run the risk of some horrific injury in the rain.

Let everyone know ahead of time where i would be. You're much more able to make the walk than i was.

Has UL-M made it to town yet? Will they be able to make it with their equipment trucks in this weather? They will be having to travel right through the heart of the storm to get here.

I don't begrudge anyone who doesn't care to come to a week night game in a driving rainstorm. There are things more important in this world besides sports.

I know it is safety first, but hate going into a key road game without having a game under our belts. Look at USF in the first quarter of their game. UCF would be hard to come back on if you get behind like USF did.

Agreed. I've always supported Tiger football above everything else (they've needed the support). And I'll be out there Thursday night. But, I won't think any less of someone if they don't feel comfortable attending. This game will be played in a tropical depression on a Thursday night, and won't end until midnight. I have an 8 month pregnant wife that's planning on going, but I'm really not sure if she needs to be there (given the circumstances).

I've sat through Jonesboro, UT Martin, SMU, and plenty of other monsoons. This one may surpass those.

And it wouldn't help swapping out home games, as we are having 100% chance of rain too.

Just call me NOBODY because....I....will....be....there. But I understand if folks decide not to. My daughter has decided not to get my 5-year-old granddaughters out.

I was at the Fuente first game and stayed until the very end with about 100 crazy folks, the game where they evacuated the skyboxes. I have never seen such lightning in my life.

If my team is on the field, I will be there. Dress accordingly.
