Hope you guys are all holding up in Hurricane Harvey wherever you reside in South Texas. Keeping you in my thoughts.

Thanks RoosHouse. I'm sure there are UTRGV fans in Houston and Corpus, and I hope they're doing well.
As for the RGV itself, the hurricane totally missed Edinburg. They closed the university Friday and Saturday just in case, but as it turned out, there was just a light breeze and almost zero rain on Friday, nice cooler weather so my wife and I did a barbecue and some outdoor stuff that it's normally too hot for in August. On Saturday it was cloudless and hit 103F. Today was spent on watering the parched yard. To sum it up, we got a three-day weekend while people are suffering up north.
They're showing the women's soccer game right now on the WAC Digital Network. If you check it out you can see the sprinklers running on the lawn just off the pitch.

They say January but that seems optimistic. Still no roof, a couple months ago they welded up the large roof trusses out in the (future) parking long, and they've been sitting out there since then.
IANA construction engineer but usually one they get the roof on it's still 6-12 months of work.

And that is all if there are no general construction delays and inspection delays.

The EDC director was predicting a May opening.

That seems a lot more realistic.

On a similar note, Cal Baptist's new arena seems to be coming along...
