OT...Macgregor fight...
If you go to Periscope tv...there are tons of feeds of the event. It will not probably tee off until past midnight.

Last prelim is in the 4th round.

RE: OT...Macgregor fight...
I serious doubt Mcgregor can get any clean shots in. Floyd was almost impossible for world class boxers to land anything clean.

Hard to see an MMA guy having much luck in a serious boxing match.

He can try to make it a wrestling match or brawl, but fighters have been trying that against Floyd for many years.

If Mayweather is on his game, its likely a gross mismatch.

Conor landed some shots and won the 1st round, maybe the 2nd. He was totally gassed in the 9th, and you could see the TKO coming.

Never doubt the power of MAGA.

LOL, Ace/VLC players are your friend.

I saw Cernovich tweet a screenshot of 150k people watching a single sh*tty, bootlegged Periscope. Literally a guy pointing his camera at the screen, and streaming it.

McGregor is a world champion athlete. A different sport but a related sport. I watch a lot of boxing and while he definitely was not on the level of boxing hall of famers but I'd say he would be a legit Top 10 contender in his weight class.

He actually tried to box Mayweather rather than brawl him. He did slip in a lot of illegal shots to try to intimidate him. A lot of rabbit punches and bear hugs. He deserved to have some points deducted.

McGregor wilted from the power punches. Mayweather could have open things up earlier and probably found success. Too patient with the game plan.

I ponied up the 100 dollars and it was well worth it IMO. Undercard fights were entertaining. McGregor over performed. Badou Jack put on a career performance in that Light Heavyweight title bout.

You seem like much more of boxing fan than me, I swore off ever again paying for a boxing PPV after Mayweather/Pacquiao, and swore off the sport entirely after Pacquiao/Horn.

RE: OT...Macgregor fight...
There is four levels with the fighters youu will see on TV boxing.

1. Hall of Fame level (Mayweather, Pacquiao)
2. Division champion level (WBA, WBC, IBF ect)
3. Contender level (ranked, aiming for title shot)
4. Journeyman level

McGregor fought like a guy who could have been a contender. He had boxed as amateur and trained again for this fight.

Mayweather has gone the distance 20 times and one them all. He was fighting a guy tonight that was Light Heavyweight in size (3 weight classes up) and won by technical knockout. It was if he moved up in weight class for a Light Heavyweight elimination bout with the winner to move on for a title bout.

So was I. McGregor really did nothing different than he does in every MMA fight....Pawing with the right and looking to unload with the left. Money is so good at defense that he just never got that shot.

It was IMO underwhelming overall.

I give Conner credit for almost instantly coming over and congratulating him(even smiling) after it was over. Same thing you see in every MMA fight.

I think the fact McGregor came out into the middle of the ring surprised everyone. I was expecting him to try and maul Money on the ropes. I was wrong.
