I just hope everyone that needs to get out of there does. With so much warning beforehand there's not too many reasons for anyone to be getting killed in this. Unfortunately it still happens at times.

My Houston hotels are scared about flooding. Already making preparations for that.

Kudos to Coldplay for waiting to the last friggin minute to cancel their concert at NRG tonight. Jeez.

My Austin hotels in flood areas are preparing for flooding too. The flooding could be awful all over the Golden Crescent to Houston and up to Central Texas.

Never underestimate a storm that will dump this much water. The wind might not get you & even the storm surge might not but if the storm surge holds up 30-40" of rain from draining off, there will serious problem. Better safe than sorrow.

I've never seen a hurricane just stop moving when it hit land, just day after day of spinning and dipping in and out of the warm gulf water. there is a possibility this hurricane will still be in the area a week from now, no front to move it away.

Channel 6 news in Tulsa started saying today that the remnants could impact Oklahoma late next week. That could make things interesting for the Tulsa-Oklahoma State game in Stillwater next Thursday. Of the two teams, I think rainy weather would help Tulsa more.

I just flew out of Houston at noon today back to ATL. Flights are getting canceled and it's going to be a major flood zone. You guys stay safe there.
