I'm more interested in the "major announcement" to come on Friday. What's that all about?

Sometimes old news will become new news, then become even newer news.

If you are in the bottom, you need aggressive measurement. Just don't get caught.

You also have to figure that Nike will have to match what Adidas and UA are offering.

Louisville basketball, no matter what brand, is going to attract recruits. BTW our recruiting is going as good as it ever has under Pitino

Crack and Whores will do that....

say hey to the FBI for me

Tom Jurich's daughter Haley hired by Adidas months before $160 million deal

She was qualified for the job. Prove me otherwise! Now I wonder if Postel hired Vince (well qualified good dude) to go through Adidas contract with a fine tooth comb?
What would his evaluation mean?

Please give me her qualifications and why it is a strange coincidence that she is working for the same Adidas involved with paying athletes 6 figures to go to Louisville. Look up this word "nepotism" for the exact definition of what is going on. You will probably see her magically removed from her job soon since she doesn't have any value to the AD.

Just when you thought the stench from louisville couldn't get worse.

Pitino raked in 98% of the cash from University of Louisville's current Adidas deal

It is my hope that the mods are very liberal with the G5 boys here on the ACC board and I'm being serious. They bring up great points!

Hey boys, guess what!?!

We still have the $168 MILLION Adidas deal.

At other schools BB coaches have personal contracts with shoe companies. They're paid directly by the shoe companies. At Louisville, the contracts were apparently arranged to pass the money to the head BB coach through the university. What was the point? It looks as if the point was to make the athletic department's revenues seem higher than they were.

Louisville's numbers always smelled funny. They claimed to have some of the highest revenues in college sports but that just didn't seem to match what they were doing. They weren't fielding that many teams. They weren't showing much strength apart from the major sports. They weren't putting away an athletic endowment fund. Their revenues never made sense considering the size, location and alumni base of the university. Louisville isn't that big a school. They don't have a whole state behind them. They have some wealthy alumni but, come on, we all know their alumni base is probably the least wealthy of any ACC school. There's a fairly direct relationship between academic selectivity and alumni prosperity and Louisville has to be the least selective of the ACC schools by a wide measure. You're not getting that many big donors out of the Louisville alumni base.

Did Louisville artificially boost its revenue numbers to help it get into the ACC?

Good question, and great points!

Well, we aren't one of five and the metro carries the state. The money in Louisville is in the 40202 and give a check of the BoT cribs.
