RE: Boston College Predictions
I really think our D steps up in this game. Both of their QBs have next to no experience in game (wade has some) and I think we stack the box a bit relying on our secondary and they deliver. NIU in a close one and the home field advantage helps. 24 NIU 17 BC

RE: Boston College Predictions
I just don't see much scoring in this game. Both teams know the other can't throw deep allowing the Ds to key up. I'll say

BC 13
NIU 14

Cause I'm a homer and I expect a D or ST TD.

Interesting stat. The past three years, BC has played non P5 teams 8 times. NIU scored the most points in any of those 8 games with just 14 points (and 7 of those were on a kick-off return).

Not good. I'm getting more concerned regarding their DL play as it gets closer to game time. I hope they have one hell of a game plan to stop Landry...and Santa/Thompson or whoever is the #2 better be ready to play tomorrow as well.

BC will definitely try to ram the run down our throats. I am nervous every year hoping our DL can hold the line

Seems like we usually do better against the run than the pass (which isn't saying that much normally). Though the last couple years we seemed susceptible to misdirection and plays on the edge, especially early in the year.

Some on the BC board put this win as a gimme. Considering they had a top 5 defense last time and only won by 3 at their place, doesn't seem like a gimme to me, even though I'm not optimistic we'll score enough.

The D-line should be decent. Size has always been a concern in the past. But this squad can go 6 or 7 deep at tackle with guys between 280-300. Even the ends are bigger this year going 250(except Smith). It's the LBs whose size concerns me.

Just to clarify, my comment was regarding the BC DL and not ours. I agree our DL should be better/deeper than it was for the past few years.

Plus BC's O/U on wins this year is only 4. Could be a long year if we're not at least competitive in this game.

Predicting a Huskie win, just because I'm flying up for the game tomorrow. I hope I don't jinx the team. I've been to the FSU, Marshall, and USF games in Florida, and look how those went. I did make it to the EMU game two years ago, and we stomped them.
Don't break my heart, Huskies.

I was replying to chicagohuskie and his concern about the BC run game vs our D-line. But both D-lines/O-line matchups are going to be really interesting. I hope Landry is over Scharping all night. I wanna see that match up. But I expect plenty of TE help or at least a few chips from the RBs for whom ever is trying to block him.

If the Huskies can hold up against a big, power offense, it will bode well for the rest of the season. With the LB's athleticism, they should do great vs the smaller, quicker type offenses they'll see in conference.

This is a really bad BC offense, that should keep NIU in the game. Same QB concerns as the Huskies have.

- Our secondary makes just about all of the tackles, BC gets into the secondary seemingly too easy.

It feels like I think this early on every year...i can't be the only one...what other themes are we accustomed to dealing with?

Even though Santa is a much better runner, Graham will lead the team in carries but not in yards...

Having Graham get the bulk of the carries against BC is damn near homicide for him
