While it doesn't look that big, I would highly doubt it. I'm sure they'll be available in the Yard for pick-up like the car flags last year.

Is the popcorn plain or buttered?

I got an email today informing me where I could pick mine up

I don't believe it's one of those pre-filled drums of popcorn. This looks to be a smaller plastic bucket or pail that they will fill with popcorn. I would assume that the popcorn is the generic plain kind from a machine.

It's still a nice thing and, remember, they are not here to lavish us with gifts. This is just a little premium for buying season tickets, like the car flags were last year.

By the way, since I have season tickets for football, men's basketball, and women's basketball, I got 3 flags last year. I wonder if I'll get 3 buckets of popcorn? (Maybe I could trade 2 in for a hot dog!)

Quote:Season ticket members for Football, Volleyball, and Men's and Women's Basketball will receive an 80 oz. plastic refillable NIU popcorn bucket to be used at all NIU Athletic events held at the Convocation Center or Huskie Stadium.

Details:
A coupon in the bucket when you pick it up will be turned in for your first free fill. After that just bring your bucket to the dedicated popcorn refill concession locations at Huskie Stadium (noted below) or either north or south lobby Concession location in the Convocation Center and get a $1.00 refill.
Not all locations have bulk popcorn available to refill the buckets, so the designated popcorn refill locations at Huskie Stadium are:
The popcorn machine stand located in the North Lobby (west side)
The 300 level North end stand on the outer ramps (west side)
The main concession stand on the East side of Huskie Stadium.
Once you purchase or renew your season tickets for any of these sports you can receive your gift, but it is limited to one gift per season ticket holder account per sport. i.e. a season ticket member for all 4 sports can get 4 buckets.
Season ticket members can pick up their season ticket gift at any the following locations:
Football - At the Huskie Kickoff Event at Fatty's on Saturday, Aug. 26th or on Gameday at the tent located near the Guest Service booth on the grass on west side of the parking lot along the path from the West Lawn Parking.
Volleyball - at the marketing table inside the gym
Basketball - at the Marketing table along the track in the NE corner of the area near section 106.
Season ticket holders will show ID and sign for their gift when they pick it up.
During normal business hours Monday - Friday 9 AM - 4:30 PM at the HAF/Ticket office receoption desk.
Must bring bucket to event to get refill.
