Gonna sound a little odd, but I actually believe Steve Spurrier should be on the CFP committee, as well as Mark Richt, when he chooses to retire.

They would be good adds to the committee. I wouldn't mind seeing Slive serve a short term as well.

There are some good suggestions on here. I will say that the Big 12 and ACC are under-represented on the committee with regards to people with conference ties. SEC and B1G are over-represented.

There are 13 committee members. Each P5 conference puts one of its ADs on the committee, so there are eight other members. Of those eight, on the current committee, there's

-- Frank Beamer (former VT head coach)
-- Jeff Bower (former Southern Miss head coach)
-- Herb Deromedi (former Central Michigan head coach)
-- Chris Howard (president of Robert Morris University, football player at Air Force Academy 1987-1990)
-- Tom Jernstedt (former NCAA executive, football player at Oregon 1963-1966)
-- Bobby Johnson (former Vanderbilt head coach)
-- Steve Wieberg (former USA Today sportswriter, not a college athlete, bachelor's degree from Missouri in 1980)
-- Ty Willingham (former Stanford/Washington/Notre Dame head coach)
