39 Old Dominion (Content): In just their fourth season in FBI, the Monarchs earned a win the Bahamas Bowl, along with some happy fans

43 UTSA (Content): The UTSA football recruited like crazy in 2017, hauling in 16 three-star recruits, which exceeded previous expectations.

50 wkcc (Content): New coach Mike Sanford replaces Jeff Brohm after two seasons with double-digit win totals.

57 Louisiana Tech (Skeptical): The Bulldogs don't score well in program power, but they're coming off three straight nine-win seasons and fans are positive on social media.

What a wad of Bull. Anything researched by ESPN means fake news. Tulane having happy fans is like saying pelican bay is a tourist destination.

Yeah... I'm not going to argue with that. We deserve/have the potential for so much more than we are producing currently.

Our fanbase should be lower. Definitely in the disappointed category, maybe even in the distraught category.

I know this is just total fluff pulled out of the air ... but I am terribly amused that Georgia Tech coming off a 9 win season where they went 3-0 against the SEC and won the Gator Bowl is somehow tilted towards misery. And yet Georgia State, having accomplished nothing and with no reason to be optimistic, is happier about the state of their program. And I have to post that here, otherwise panama is gonna get all butt hurt and start talking about how a QB making a 6-5-3 putout at third base is the way football is suppose to be played.

2011 we went 7-1 in Sun Belt and won 7 out of our last 8 games, so just 2 really bad seasons not 3...That rough start was well worth it to win Back to Back CUSA titles wouldn't you say? When the butterflies are back to back CUSA champions then we can talk, in meantime you guys still have a lot of work to do to get to the next level...

There are Iowa State fans all over Dallas, for some reason, and they're all diehards. They love their football team, despite how terrible they typically are, and they get insane about basketball. I'd only met one Iowa State Alum prior to moving to Texas, but their school spirit is thoroughly impressive to me.

The thread title says Mysery, not Mystery. But so what?

My former daughter-in-law is one of those diehard hard ISU fans. I think they get that way because everybody in Iowa is either for Iowa or Iowa State, so the fever bubbles all year round.

I attended a Rice-ISU game in Ames. My son sat between me and his wife, and the entire time never rooted for either team by name, just a constant mantra of "Go, team".

Obviously you ignored 08,09 and 10 but what ever makes your logic fly. Who said anything about not needing work. We have a lot of work to do and a long way to go but that's not the point. If you told me before we joined FBS we would be back to back conference champions 8 years after we made the jump to FBS, I would glady take 2 seasons of sucking and so would you...We made a quick turn around and those days are long forgotten to where we can laugh about it now.....
