I'll be in attendance but I won't be spending on the WMU tailgate. I like to wander around pre game and experience the sites and sounds of a stadium I've never been to.

Are you in section 3? I believe that is the visitor corner.

Also, Sec. 3, Row 50, 11x-11x. Traveling with 3 tailgating family members.

Hadn't given a ton of thought to the tailgate. One of our group works in LA pretty frequently. As this is my first time out, he may have some "insider info" that we work from.

USC fan here...and father of a team member. Everyone is looking forward to the game next week. I hope you enjoy your experience in the Coliseum. Given a choice between a tailgate at the Galen Center or wandering around the Coliseum, I would recommend enjoying the experience by the stadium.

Good luck.

Thanks for stopping by, SoCal. Will be driving to the game early Saturday morning and wondering what the Coliseum parking situation is like? Any suggestions on a good spot in the $25 or lower scale? Looking forward to what will hopefully be an exciting opener.

Parking is expensive to be candid. I opt for freeway and stadium convenience, so I pay quite a bit more than your threshold of $25.00. Depending on the game, I pay anywhere from $40-$100, but am only a one block walk to the Coliseum and 100 yards to the freeway on ramp. A number of people use StubHub or similar services to buy parking passes for the games they want to attend. I might suggest you check online to see if you can buy a game day spot in one of the large lots near the stadium.

In general, it costs more to park at a USC game than it does to get game tickets. You can get two seats to the game for $17 apiece. The cheapest parking is $50. Most parking is more than that.
Reminds me of Jerry World. Best bet is to park somewhere free or cheap (but still safe and well lit) a few miles away and arrange Uber or some other ride for the remainder.

RE: Who's going to the Coliseum and where you sitting?
I found a place 1.1 miles away for $24 on one of the parking sites. Not sure whether to commit to that or just show up there blind around 9:30 AM and hope for the best. It says Lot 6 just south of the stadium is $25 on a USC game parking site, but have a hard time believing that's what they actually go for if you show up.

Careful on those cheap seats. Having gone to many many games there, there are some gawd awful seats about 60 yards from the end zone that are just terrible

My experience in LA is that Uber and Lyft are super cheap. Get in early to avoid the surge prices and enjoy the tailgating.

I'm thinking that with parking fees, the heat, etc...that the Stampede is the way to go. Per the mywmu site...

-Parking will be $15-$30 and put you within a 10-15 minute walk to the stadium.
-It is inside in Galen...with it being 95 out, that might be the most attractive part.

We finally bit on it last night.
