The fifteen easternmost NBA teams are in the Eastern Conference.

It's almost as if the eastern portion of the US contains more people than the western portion. It's why the radio/TV split is the Mississippi River. East signals begin with the call letter W, west signals begin with K. Memphis is just a mile from being a K city.

we're in fl, btw. I understand the reasoning, but geographically it doesn't make sense. Should have went off of time zones in order to stay truer to the cities the teams are in.

I personally think Dave has a very good broadcaster's voice that is easy to listen to. Is he sometimes lacking in preparation or details? Sure. But we could do a lot worse.

That said, God made only one Big Jack Eaton. May he Rest In Peace.

Wolo provides subpar performances compared to his peers. I wish he would comfortably retire. We can find a better voice.

Dave has done his share of increasing ticket sales for both football and basketball.

Wolo is terrible, but I never have to listen to him anymore, so don't care if he still does the games on radio.

Don't need him at home games, all road games are either on TV or ESPN3. I honestly don't think I heard his voice once last season. It was a good season.

I always liked Big Jack, but my favorite play by play guy in Memphis was Tom Stocker.
