I don't see anyone crying on this thread. I see a bunch of normal everyday people shaking their heads in disgust at how pathetic the SJW's are, and how disgusting it is that their triggering has become such a concern that companies like ESPN do immature, knee-jerk stuff like this to pacify them.

No "SJW" did anything with this and no evidence that it had anything to do with that. You are hypersensitive about this. Triggered snowflake.

Ha, nice try.
The whole "deflect the snowflake triggering back on them" shtick is old, and was laughable in the first place.

Are you honestly that obtuse to think that ESPN decided to do this in a vacuum? I kinda think that you are not. So why do you pretend to be on these types of issues?

Do you honestly believe anyone would be offended that a guy named Robert Lee was announcing the game? If so you're an f---ing idiot. They asked the guy if he would switch games to avoid any jokes coming up related to his name and a tragic incident. Seems unnecessary and silly to me to bother, but also hardly some sort of crazy issue you are making it out to be in your triggered, snowflakey mind.

The same triggered snowflakes outraged because a football player kneeled for the national anthem, are also outraged because people don't believe statues of traitors to the country (largely built during Jim Crow and the Civil Rights movement) should be on government grounds. There is a reason West Point (where Lee and Davis are both alumni) does not recognize these people on their campus... they fought against the United States.

Again with the "snowflake" shtick. It comes off as pretty intellectually limiting.

Don't you fragile little fellas realize how most of the people in this country (thankfully) think of your mindsets?

Best wishes.

Interesting fact:

When I was in school at UC, (1988-93), our Assistant Dean at the College of Pharmacy was Robert E. Lee. He was a super nice guy and was very well liked by everyone.

I don't give a f-ck that ESPN and the announcer agreed to have him do a different game. I wouldn't give a f-ck if the guy announced the William and Mary v. UVA game. You are the person making a big deal out of it. I could care less one way or the other. Triggered snowflake.

Uhhh, didn't colleges have to set up "safe spaces" or "cry rooms" with teddy bears and crayons for all the "snowflakes" after the election? So, I would say Yes, there would be many on the left that would be "offended" by a guy named Robert Lee! You can't make this stuff up!!!

I will wait for the story of the person who got ran over because the driver was mad about Robert Lee getting bumped to the Pitt YSU game.

RE: ESPN removes announcer Robert Lee from UVA game
Any chance the mods could begin censoring the words snowflake and trigger? I would be thrilled to never read those words again.

I just wish everyone could use a bit of common sense. Can PC stuff go to far? Of course, but saying that statues(which are essentially shrines meant commemorate something) dedicated to the confederacy ON public lands are the same thing as the car from Dukes of Hazard is just dumb. You would have to be a magnificently stupid person to equate the two.

And those of you not bothering to even read a word of Mark's statements gave me a pretty good laugh. You guys screaming that no one should be mad about it. Mark saying that no one is actually mad about it, ESPN was just trying to avoid becoming the internet's sensation of the day.

"snowflake, trigger, safe place, SJW snowflake, trigger, safe place, SJW snowflake, trigger, safe place, SJW snowflake, trigger, safe place, SJW snowflake, trigger, safe place, SJW snowflake, trigger, safe place, SJW snowflake, trigger, safe place, SJW snowflake, trigger, safe place, SJW snowflake, trigger, safe place, SJW snowflake, trigger, safe place, SJW snowflake, trigger, safe place, SJW snowflake, trigger, safe place, SJW snowflake, trigger, safe place, SJW. Hillary sucks."

Very well said BearcatMark, I agree with everything you have stated in your post.

One would think, if the statues are on government grounds, then ALL Americans should have a say in the fate of the statues.

Reuters shows 54% of Americans say they should stay up; 27% say remove and 19% no opinion.

An NPR/PBS/Ipsos poll shows 62% want the statues to remain (44% of African Americans say the statues should stay, while 40% of African Americans say to take the statues down).

I guess, for me, the question would come down to why are we letting a minority of persons decide this issue, on what appears to be based on a threat of violence?

Personally, I have no feelings either way whether they stay or go.

Hmm, is that all it takes to get an ESPN announcer pulled? Someone start searching the history books for a Confederate soldier named Thomas Tuberville.
