The stadium and its sightlines are fine. I'm on the top row at an end, and it was fine. I have a friend who was on the first row in E who says it was fine.

Anyone who is posting complaints here, is a troll who was not at last night's game.

The stadium's a joke? A JOKE? You must be high.

The environment was excellent. Sight lines are excellent. It's a beautiful stadium. If you think it sucks, just stay home. We had an excellent crowd, especially for the miserable weather. We also had an excellent tailgate. I agree we gave up too many yards in the second half. I couldn't figure out why we just didn't keep going vertical on offense - they were putting their defensive backs on islands and they couldn't cover our receivers - and just put them away in the 1st half. Herink played an excellent game. However, the offensive line still needs some work. Williams just made a mistake on that return. I keep hearing he's dangerous, but I'm not sure I've ever seen him really look dangerous, except for fumbles.

Regardless, it's just game 1. Bucs won, and it wasn't ever really in danger. Next week is a whole different animal.

My understanding is there was an issue with ESPN3 that prevented display of replays on the board. Expect it to be fixed.

I loved how the students seemed engaged. We seemed to do a really good job with the music outside the stadium, etc. to get them excited. I hope we keep some of that going- we only have to do it 5-6 times per year so hopefully it's in the budget somewhere. The students were certainly the loudest fans at the start of the game when all the season ticket holders (including myself) were quiet. They even tried to start a "Let's go Bucs" chant. Impressed by them.

Yes and all the wonderful things went on and were a blast even with terrible weather. I cannot wait for Saturday afternoon on the 16th against Citadel. That stadium will rock!

I didn't think the weather was that bad. It was a really light rain before the game and a mist in the 2nd half. We are going to be playing in some much worse weather conditions and the fans better not use that as an excuse to stay home. We wanted outdoor football in the fall, now we have it.

Maybe his poncho restricted his view? I know mine was annoying to the point that I finally just took the hood off.

RE: Official Game Thread: Limestone (W 31-10)
STADIUM IS GREAT and ETSU will continue to make it better.

LOTS OF ENTERTAINING THINGS TO DO for the students and fans.

STUDENTS WERE OUT IN FORCE, WERE LOUD AND INVOLVED IN GAME. THEY STOOD AND CLAPPED FOR THE FIGHT SONG, THEY STOOD AND CHEERED FOR THE KICKOFF. THEY HELPED THE DEFENSE BY BEING LOUD ON THIRD DOWNS. THEY AND THE BAND WERE THE 12TH MAN. CONGRATS FOR A JOB WELL DONE.

BAND WAS AWESOME. Their music, marching, cheering, and their beautiful and thoughtfull singing of the ETSU ALMA MATER to the football team who had gathered in front of them to show their appreciation, was so appropriate and touching.

The 'fans' on West side of stadium, the side I sit on. As was noted in earlier post, they were QUITE. IMO opinion they were way past quite, PATHETIC would be a better description. My group is accustomed to STANDIND and CLAPPING for the fight song, STANDING and CHEERING LOUDLY when team entered field, MAKE AS MUCH NOISE AS POSSIBLE to HELP DEFENSE, be the 12th MAN be a REAL FAN. Not the people setting in silver and mid field seats, SUPPOSEDLY THE BEST FANS, THEY JUST SAT. These are probably the SAME BUNCH that SIT ON THEIR HANDS at the basketball games.
Even with the announcer and the video board continuously prompting them, they sat there like they were ATTENDING a FUNERAL.

My group decided to count how many peple were standing and cheering for a possible third down stop and for a kickoff after a touchdown. We sit in E SECTION. 22 standing for the third down and 40 for kickoff. No way can you call that anything but Pathetic, especially in 2nd quarter.

Grades for Gameday and Game

A - Stadium
A - Team
A - Students
A - Band
A - Cheer Teams
A - Activities
F F F - for the majority of WEST SIDE SILVER AND MID FIELD FANS. Can't comment on East Side fans except the only empty seats we could see were the mid field seats, once again the supposed to be BEST FANS.

IF YOUR NOT STANDING, CHEERING, MAKING NOISE, YOU'RE NOT SUPPORTING THE TEAM .........YOU NOT A TRUE FAN.

It's going to take some education for some fans to know how to contribute. Remember that between the HS field, the many years off, and the weirdness and small crowds of the Minidome, we have a whole generation of fans who don't understand when and why to be loud on defense. The band and PA announcer and bench players can help get it going.

Keep up the enthusiasm and engage the fans around you. The task is to convert the socializing fans who come for the food and music and turn them into engaged fans.

I think that is a good assessment. Fans just have to get used to football again.

RE: Official Game Thread: Limestone (W 31-10)
Took my wife and daughter. Unfortunately they both had had enough of the weather so we headed out midway through the 3rd qtr. Since I waited to the last minute to buy tickets, we were on the far end of section X. Not the greatest of seats, but still better than anything in the dome, which was the last time I had attended an ETSU football game. Had we have been in a section closer towards mid field that had more people, may have been more exciting. The weather and the opponent (no offense Limestone) seemed to not fire up the crowd. As for the stadium, I think it is beautiful. I walked the entire horseshoe and it and the field looked great. My only complaint is with the jumbotron or whatever we are calling it. And I am sure they still need to work out the kinks with all the electronics and broadcasts. The big "E" spinning around looks cool, but the most important stats are so small (score, time, downs) on the bottom I couldn't tell what was what. Granted we were in section X. But since it is the only thing in the stadium that tells you what is going on, they need to have all the stats on the full screen during plays, and get rid of the spinning E. Have it come back during a time out or in between ads. I am sure they are working on making it better though. All in all, it's still a very nice place.

You are in the closest section to the Video board. I'm at least 50 yards further away and none of us had any problem seeing or reading the Stat line.Three of us wear glasses. My other friends sit 75 yds away and they loved the Video board. What other stats do you want? Maybe your just used to the basketball boards that have individual stats.

Does anyone know if Jason Maduafokwa is injured? I did not see him play Saturday and was wondering what his status might be.

Game log credits him with one assist tackle and a QB hurry. I think he changed jus Hersey number from 32 to 49, but my roster had melted before kickoff.

Thanks. My roster also was wasted in the rain. I just could not remember the PA crediting him with any tackles.
