RE: Anyone going to Annapolis this season?
There should be flyover scheduled for every game. For Tulane as the home opener, almost certainly. They can get weathered out, and some aircraft types are more impressive than others. So you definitely want to get in for that.
However, you should already want to be in your seats for the Brigade marchon. I can live without it, cause to me the best thing about watching it is knowing that I am not doing it. But it is part of the spectacle and gameday experience.
Already talked about visitor's section (Gold side end zones, both ends, upper and lower) for the UCF poster. I'll reiterate that hill SRO is a good deal and fun, but it is our family friendly section.
Parking passes already sold out. If you're planning on doing your own tailgate, church and elementary lots will let you do your thing. If not, the parking lot tailgate scenes are generally hospitable. State parents' clubs and class tailgates can be a good place to make a connection on common ground.
I recommend staying in Annapolis and making a weekend of it, rather than trying to double DC or Baltimore with the Navy football weekend.
Definitely tour the Yard in the morning or on Sunday, and see Memorial Hall and example mid room in Bancroft Hall, Chapel and John Paul Jones crypt. You can get in at Gate 1 with photo i.d. (some states don't meet federal ID requirements so check ahead) and walk around yourself or pay for a guided tour. Several do both historic downtown sites and the Yard.
Downtown Annapolis pub crawl on Friday or Saturday night won't disappoint.

Oliveandblue, sounds like you're relatively local - any particular questions?

1. What's a realistic time to get there so that you can be set up and not rushed?

2. Is US-50 to Rowe Blvd still the best route on Game Day? If my family weren't cooking I'd take Forest Drive to the "back end" of Downtown Annapolis and just have a coffee before taking a short taxi to the stadium. (TBH taking a boat to the marina and making a day out of it sounds top class.)

3. What are the good CFB bars for post-game? I know where to get good sushi and a Guinness on a weekend, but gameday is different. There are some sweet games onthat night, and an evening by the water taking one in is def. in my wheelhouse.

Going the weekend of Sept 23 to catch the UC / Navy game . Flying into Baltimore Friday and leaving Sunday afternoon . Ubering from Airport to hotel and back and doing everything on foot in between . Walk from hotel in Annapolis to stadium says 1.3 miles. Looking forward to a fun weekend . Keep the tips coming . Thanks slhNavy91 and others. 04-cheers

1. Gates open at the stadium lot at 0930 for a 1530 game (probably similar for elementary school/church parking). 1430 is march-on time (don't have to rush for that - watch, say, half of it and you'll get the idea). Traffic starts to get tough around 12. So target 11 arrival to smoothly get in and get set up and have 3ish hours of tailgating ? That's if you scored a stadium parking pass and have a short stroll to your seats for that 1430+ marchon...walking from Elementary school will take longer and you might want earlier to allow same time to tailgate.

2. Yeah, that's best. IF you're at the elementary school, and IF you're early, and IF you're familiar enough you can get off eastbound 50 in Parole and take West St and then go through the neighborhood, but they'll get jammed up pretty easily. 50 to Rowe Blvd can be a pain, but not much better option.

3. Hmmm, good question. ACME is probably the closest thing to a sports bar in DTA. It's about halfway up MainSt and goes for the dive bar feel. For more of a waterfront Annapolis feel, Federal House has many screens in the bar area, and inside Pusser's MIGHT have enough screens to ensure you're seeing what you want to.

RE: Anyone going to Annapolis this season?
Lots of good info here as well: http://www.navysports.com/sports/m-footb...guide.html

For those who don't want to deal with driving, there are also satellite parking lots with free shuttles to/from the stadium.

To those who want to park, most of the stadium parking permits are taken by season ticket holders. Not impossible to get, but I wouldn't hold your breath on it. Check out the link above for parking options.

DTA sports bars aren't really "sports bars", more like bars that have TVs too. Dock Street (formerly Ego Alley) also has a decent number of TVs as does Federal House. Fado Irish Pub is not far from the stadium & has a good number of TVs. Pussers' is on the water but only has 2 TVs outside on the deck, but more inside at the main bar. Fleet Reserve Club is good, but private unless you know or are a member of the Fleet Reserve Association.

If you really want a local experience, go to Davis' Pub in Eastport or Heroes Pub in West Annapolis which has a good number of TVs, but not an easy walk from DTA. Neither one of these places has a large seating capacity, but good experiences.

For true sports bars, you would need to be outside DTA, West End Grill is good with local flavor but then there is the franchised Gordon Biersch, Green Turtle, Union Jack's, Buffalo Wild Wings, etc.

As they say, Annapolis is a drinking town with a sailing problem.
