Didn't see a thing but the slight darkening. 45 minutes before the peak of the eclipse a thunder storm formed just over the area where we live. Of course the clouds moved out shortly after the eclipse. But I did notice the temperature dropped to 82 at the height of the event and it was 92/93 just before.

RE: STR - Solar Eclipse :: what I saw ...
I was in a nice sunny location across from Rhodes college and got to see it all with my solar glasses. I was disappointed though. They said there would be a period of darkness and there was not. They also said you would be able to see stars during the peak, and I could not. It certainly did not live up to the hype. Guess I will try again in 2024 when we will have 97% totality in Memphis instead of 93%.

It got a lil darker here (4000 ft) in noCal, but much much cooler right away. The sun squished.

And the ground shadows got crescent shaped

100% totality here in Nashville. It was a sight to behold. It did get really dark for about a min.

We had around 92% here in Indiana. We are in the path of totality for the 2024 eclipse. 02-13-banana

It was an incredible sight. Upon full eclipse it darkened, the crickets sang, the temperature dropped, and the sun was only a ring of fire.

The stars typically only come out if you are in the 100% totality zone.

If you thought you were going to see them, then you misunderstood.
