Hoy, may be on campus now. Not sure if he arrived earlier this week or today. Someone that was at the QB camp BELEIVES he may have been there today (organized and run by Coach Whitcomb), either saw him or was told that he is on campus. Not sure if he participated or was just seen.

Unless it would somehow violate NCAA rules, you can bet that if he is on campus, he was enrolled and fully participating in the camp under the watchful eye of Coach Whitcomb. I don't know if he will be our starter, but I think he will bring an awful lot to the competition, and one of the other two will have to be looking really good to keep him off the field.

I agree Aggie, I believe Hoy will make the competition between all three stronger and more competitive. That alone will help them all become better and force them to fight for the starting job. Last year it was obvious that Washington was going to be the starter. This year it is up for the BEST of the group to prove they want it and have earned it. I think Hoy will bring an aspect back to the field that we saw in the early days with Demarco and Heinicke. A Quarterback that can stay on his feet and scramble for extra time and yards. David Washington was able to do that last year and IMO I believe that was the difference between last year and 2015.

Looking forward to watching them all and hope that there are no surprises. After looking a lot of his High School and JC film from Fullerton, I think he has a lot of skill. Not only his scrambling but his Football IQ. He has an ability to think fast and appears to make good decisions and protects that football. He also statistically has had very few interceptions during his playing years. . Just my intuition, but I think Hoy is going to be a great player for ODU.

Let me also say that I know it will take time for him to get a clear understanding of what Wilder and Holcomb want him to do as the leader on the field. It will take time for him to have a comfort level, and for the players to all bond and accept him as the "On Field General". The fact that he did that last year for a team that was successful will help. But I know it will take time. One of the biggest unknowns is how he will fit in and how long it takes the team to adjust and accept him as the leader. There are question marks and unknowns that play into the game when it comes to chemistry that are the X factor. So time will tell but. I am looking forward to watching it all unfold.
