I think it was more talking about how intense the rivalry game is going to be, but it also serves to your point.

I believe JMU has never lost to Richmond in anything. So, the if-you-can't-beat-'em-then-join-'em thing is definitely in place here.

Btw, there was that rumor that back in the late 70's a UR women's alumni softball team had a 4-3 lead in the 3rd inning over a JMU women's alumni team before the game was rained out...and, of course, as you would expect UR folks still run around claiming that as a lone victory over the Dukes. More research has discovered that they did resume the game later and JMU of course won big, 22-4.

I remember being in a History class in Jackson Hall, listening to a lecture. Prof was talking about medieval monarchs who lived in fortified castles. I remember watching the person in front of me write in her notebook "4 to 5 castles"
