O line isn't helping much. free blitz off the corner and you get sacked.

He finished 10-15 for 49 yds. No td's, no to's. Carried it for 27 yds. Put 13 points on the board. He looked decent. Commentators mentioned that he had a good practice week, and the coaches still like him - but think Siemian wins the starting position.

That Broncos offense is going to be brutal again this year. Line not much better. Conservative play-calling.

Siemian came in and looked much better than Lynch 03-pissed

Lynch starting to look like a bust in Denver. Hate it for him, and for Memphis.

Paxton has happy feet. Makes one read and takes off. Maybe Fuente was just that good an offensive coach.

Paxton needs to be ready if Trevor gets hurt or sucks. Bet Paxton gets one more opportunity at some point this season, needs to take advantage.

He's got the tools... just, wish he could have hit a mid range pass just once.

Well, playing as starting qb for fuente's Tigers has been BY FAR the highlight of his career. He has not done many impressive things since fuente left. paxton was lousy in the bowl game vs auburn.

He has not been able to win starting spot in Denver. Hopefully, things will change for him.

He consistently threw behind his receivers, especially those on crossing patterns. Early in the game on 3rd down, he tried to squeeze one in to a double-covered receiver down the field while D. Thomas was open on a crossing pattern a few yards short of the marker.

I didn't watch much after Siemian came in but he looked much sharper on his first series. I am not going to say that Lynch is a bust, though. He has been behind Siemian since arriving at Denver in terms of experience. Last year, Siemian had a one-year advantage in understanding the offense (1 year vs NONE). Now, he has a 2-year to 1-year advantage and a season's worth of experience as the starting QB. That is a bit to overcome for Lynch vs Siemian. Now, if Lynch was an elite talent, he should be able to overcome that difference, but if he is just a solid NFL QB talent, he may just need more time and the chance to play through his mistakes and gain experience.

I am not saying that Lynch will definitely be a productive NFL QB at some point, but it is too early to call him a bust.

I think this article makes some good points. I especially appreciate the Mel Kiper quote from when Lynch was drafted.
