I said early on that the Lawson's were not going to save the program, no one listened.

They sure as hell did. We would have won 5 games without them last year.

The program was "saved?"

Good to see the usual weird comments from the same handful of posters. I hate it that the Lawsons were forced on poor old Tubby.

C - McDowell
F - Rivers
G - Markel
G - Martin
G - Randall

Bench
C/PF/F/G/PG - Kessee
C/PF/F/G/PG - Clergeot

That is a team that Tubby could have coached up to win a lot of games.

Tubby was blessed with four top 100 players, an outstanding outside shooter, and "his kind of player" and he lost them all.

I seem to remember this lineup that only won 18 or 19 games and missed the tourney

F - Lawson
F- Burrell
C-'Goodwin
G- Tarrant
G- Crawford or Woodson

With Martin and Nick Marshall as subs

Maybe they ALL were overrated?

What isn't funny at all, is that despite all of Pastner's shortcomings, in his 8 years of coaching he has gone to the tournament more than Tubby, won more NCAA games than Tubby and made the tournament 4 years in a row; something Tubby hasn't done in 12 years, AND badly outcoached Tubby last year.

Isn't it sad that a coach like Pastner has managed to outperform HOF Tubby?

Tubby is over rated, IMHO

How many times you, Stam and Snow if not the same people are you going to repeat this. I have been on a few boards before. I have never seen anything like this. You guys have any lives or get paid to bash Tubby everyday????:-)
After what these brothers plus their father did to your team, still you blame it on Tubby???
I was watching one of the Memphis games last year. The TV guy kept saying how disciplined Memphis defense was. Your team was playing very well until these people destroyed you. Did you not see that???
Are you going to pray during every game that these Tigers lose so you can come back here and say, "told you so"?
If you are a true fan, you would support the players at least. You keep bashing them too?????

This was my last post here until the end of BB season. See you all then.

"Saved the program" is a huge reach. My comment wouldn't be weird to you if your comment wasn't off kilter. 2 seasons of no post season tourney doesn't equate to saving the program.

I suppose we could've missed the AAC tournamet. Does that count in someone's mind as a save? And they say Tubby has low standards? LOL

A huge reach? How many games do we win without Dedric and KJ last year? Please keep in mind that after Rykhoek gets hurt, that McDowell and Rivers are playing 40 minutes each at the 4 and 5.

You guys are a complete joke. You claim that Pastner destroyed the program and then claim that not having Dedric and KJ wouldn't have been a big deal. Hilarious.

So basically cuz we win more games and avoid a losing season with them, they "saved" the program? Still a reach IMO. If we would have made any sort of tourney the past couple years, then maybe "saved" would be apropos.

Defending Tubby by pointing out 30 point beatings, awesome.
