So you're saying they were suspended for 2 games to end last year (season ending suspensions). Then those suspensions didn't carry over at all, only for them to go and get themselves RE-suspended in the off-season? They're still on the roster too?

That's what it sounds like to me. Especially when one of the current suspensions wasn't on the team during the playoffs. Some are suspended for 1 game, others for 2 games. Doesn't sound at all connected to me.

The Kloosterman and Hawkins suspensions are in no way associated with the other group. They all just start the season with suspensions for varying reasons.

Zero chance Alls would be given another chance. Some of the suspensions are a continuation. They are connected. Doesn't really matter what the reasons were.

At the time, from an article dated 12-29-16, Coach Houston was quoted as saying, “I’m going to say this about personnel and it will be the only comment I’m going to make about personnel,” said Houston. “We do have seven players that are suspended indefinitely. They’ve been suspended for about three weeks now. They will be suspended well beyond the championship game."

I went through the video last year to see who was on the sidelines for NDSU & Y'town. Edwards, Bethea, Hereford and Alls were not dressed. All had been dressed and participating players in the 6 games up to and including the SHSU game.

So I'm to believe that these regular contributors just suddenly disappeared at the same time suspensions were announced but that was purely coincidence and not the cause? Then..., the only two who were publicly identified, get publicly reinstated and participate in Spring & Summer ball. But they are yet again suspended at the beginning of this season, but not kicked off the team for repeated transgressions?

Disparate events makes more sense than "you're suspended" then "you're reinstated" now "you're resuspended for the original infraction". I wouldn't jump to the repeated transgressions conclusion without more factual details, which we won't get from Mike Houston. Who's to say this time is not for curfew violation or something else without the cachet of failed drug tests, criminal activity or some other more serious violation of team rules. MH seems to me to make the penalty proportionate to the offense. Players can obviously redeem themselves in his view. Just ask JFM.

Dude you're completely wrong on this. If it was another "event" they'd be suspended for longer. Coach has said as much.

Also not being clear on the suspensions (or maybe they were and ESPN ignored it) leads to headlines like this:

Jonathan Kloosterman to miss two games; five others also sanctioned

That showed up on my ESPN feed. Makes it look like JMU has had 6 guys suspended so far this year.

Can you share this reporting? I hadn't seen it. I've been told explicitly that's not the case.
