The kid can flat out play! As he adds strength and speed through the years, he will explode

I say do not red shirt, any depth at WR will be needed.

Redshirt him no question.....
Chad Christian DJ Juan spencer Andrew Ezra no chance Cole makes us better this year but 2021 he could be a stud

If NIU has a single injury at WR they will be stuck with serious depth issues. Rather have him play the whole year than losing a RS playing half a season

i gotta see some QB potential to get the ball to the target before i start burning redshirts.

Question is, is there any sign we will ever see QB potential. Now is just as good as any other time

Very few 18 year olds can compete against 22 and 23 year olds effectively. Unless he is a rare physical specimen it is best to allow him a full year in a college weight training program and a full year learning the system and competing against friendly fire in practice before he sees the field.

Beebe is filling this role right now. So unless he is a superstar no need to play him.

100% agree. Feel he is talented and will play, but he looks under nourished at this point in his career against the older guys. Just look at that pic of him

Is there anything in that which remotely indicates he might play under than the title?

Just that he said he took reps with the twos in practice. But only when they go 4 wide. So I'd guess he's just the first guy they'd go to if they had to burn a redshirt due to injuries. There's no reason to play this kid outside of that.

Just would hate to see a year of eligibility used for patch work injury situation. If he would be used for that , would it make more sense to just play him now and at least let him gain something his first year

He will redshirt he is our number 8 wr and is nit an option on special teams. He needs to mature average speed and only 170 needs to get stronger and faster and we will be ready prob his red shirt Soph year he will see some game time maybe next year if we don't look fior and find a trensfer

Well then if he redshirts he better stay redshirted and not waste it this year for patch work injury situation. If we have injuries anywhere really, NIU wont be a factor in the MAC West, so do not go wasting his eligibility if he would only be spot used to fill injury void.
