New b12 after GOR expires
Will Texas and Oklahoma rebuild b12 after GOR expires as in expel two or even four schools and invite Nebraska and Arkansas or even Houston Memphis or cincy ?
A big little UT birdie has said this much to me recently says Texas thinks is a " best case " for the future

Why do we have to keep doing this every 2 weeks? Even if the little bird was the Texas AD, they have no way of persuading Arkansas to leave the SEC, or Braska to leave the Big 10.

That's like a little Navy birdy saying that the plan is to kick out UConn and Tulane, then invite Utah and Georgia Tech. Says that would be a "best case" for AAC.

When does the contract giving all that money to Texas for the Longhorn Network expire? Like 3030?

Oh think its plausible you talked to someone and even someone who may be in a position to "know" things.

The "thing" is these kind of decisions/moves require hundreds of moving pieces and even if one school (UT in this case) was on board it's a long road to go before any progress is made.

Nebraska may have its frustrations in the B10 but the bank they make soothes that wound and they wont be down forever.

Arkansas (and any other school in the SEC) is not leaving the SEC for the B12.

The B10 and the SEC represent the highest grossing conferences and the most stable.

No school worth its salt would voluntarily move to the B12 and its constant instability.

As for schools being "kicked out" of the B12 who would that be?

Kansas brings too much from a basketball standpoint to throw away.

Kansas State is up and down in FB but they are always competitive and the same for basketball.

West Virginia? Good luck trying to reverse that decision. Plus they are strong in both FB and BB.

Oklahoma State? Never going to happen. Good in FB and BB plus you'll never get Oklahoma on board.

Texas Tech? I wouldn't cry any tears in seeing them getting kicked to the curb but there just isn't the justification.

TCU? Yeah not going to happen. They are the only other consistent winner right now.

Iowa State? I'll listen to an argument but with good BB and a decent following I don't see it either.

Baylor? Now this is the most likely of the bunch for multiple reasons but I just can't see a 2nd school that Texas and/or Oklahoma could sell on kicking out.

As gun shy as UH is you know they would say yes in a heartbeat to get the "band" (SWC) back together again but I can't see it as plausible.

Farther fetched ideas have been put out there but just taking you at your word (or their word to be more accurate) it doesn't account for the endless things out of their control to make said moves happen.

For context we (and A&M) were on the road to the SEC in the early 90's following a similar golf course conversation that is well documented but that never materialized.

Seriously guys, why on earth would Texas boot current members out of the B12 replacing them with worse programs in Nebraska and Arkansas... or somebody from the AAC?

Texas does not need a single dime - they are as loaded as a college program can be. In fact, they're more loaded than probably every professional sports team in America. They could continue to operate at their current level ad infinitum without another single dime from television. Texas will never make a hasty decision and/or bring a school like Houston in to replace a current member. Nothing against Houston but, they're not currently in the B12 so their brand is not as strong as current B12 members. The only way Texas brings AAC members, or somebody like Nebraska into the B12, is if they are forced to because of a mass exodus.

I personally believe that Texas will go the route of Notre Dame before they dilute their brand backfilling a broken B12.
