UALR isn't going to add football. They are going through the motions because the city of Little Rock is desperately looking for something to put in an about to be vacant 56,000 seat stadium. Unless the city foots most of the bill, the Trojans don't have the cash reserves to add the sports necessary to make football a reality.

CCU as well probably and folks were certain GS could not afford to move up.

Well our study was drafted in such a way to discourage a move up, but that was a result of the leadership at the time.

Yes, but UALR is in far worse financial shape than any of those programs. They actually don't sponsor enough sports required for SBC Membership right now, but the conference has ignored it because they have been in the league so long.

They have to add 3 sports to have football. I'm just not sure where they can find the cash to do that unless the city foots most or all of the bill, which knowing the city of Little Rock, is incredibly unlikely.

C-USA and the Sun Belt will have some sort of merge, trade, etc, etc in a few years to make everything more regional friendly. Go Apps!

that's fine with me as long as we are NOT aligned in the same group as the F_U's...but I'm thinking any future realignment will have us with a larger profile than we currently have, particularly if we can somehow fix/resurrect/exorcise our MBB program in the short term.
