Yes, it's a crazy high school stadium, but it doesn't belong to just one high school. It is essentially a metro stadium built for the city of Katy's multiple high schools. How much does it cost to build a standard high school stadium, as well as field maintenance, compared to building one for multiple schools to use as well as the city being able to use it for other functions?

How long before they are trying to host a bowl game???

The capacity doesn't look that big. It spans goal line to goal line and doesn't seem like it has many rows. I bet the $$$ was spent on the suite and press box amenities.

Also, it seems that McKinney, just north of Allen, is trying to gain the most expensive title.

It's not as big as some. Capacity is 12,000. The "old" stadium, Rhodes Stadium, right next door has just under 10,000 in capacity. Both stadiums will be used.

Below is an image depicting the two stadiums (prior to Legacy Stadium construction). Rhodes is the stadium on the left.
