92...Alzheimer's.

That is one disgusting disease...people seem to live a long time with it while the ones who love them can only watch.

I agree with you on this! Awful disease, and really painful for the loved ones...

RE: Frank Broyles....BOH
my younger sister Michelle Davis grew up with foster parents Henry and Ruby Donathon. They were close family friends...and we always got to see and speak with my sister whenever we wanted.
My sister's foster mother Ruby's family was seemingly cursed.
She had 4 or 5 brothers and sisters die of Alzheimers...and she herself also died of it.
Her husband Henry died of dementia in a cruel ironic twist.

What's sad is that they have some promising treatments that haven't left beta testing in people yet.
The more promising of the two treatments is an injection that keeps the brain from forming the protein molecules of the plaque that forms in the brains of Alzheimer patients.
I'll be glad to see when this disease is eradicated. Losing your mind and decaying physically is such a cruel, slow, and undignified way to go.

Amen brother. Anyone that has been touched in some way knows how incredibly awful it is. Your last sentence perfectly sums up this disease.

Frank Broyles' wife actually had Alzheimer's as well. He even wrote a book about caring for someone with the disease.

Alzheimer's is a dreadful and horrific disease and I am thankful he is free of it and hope he now resides in a place with no disease and sorrow.

Maybe we need to start bumping a few of the old "Arkansas / Frank Broyles owes us" threads from years past. Should be pretty enlightening.

Did the one and only btiger finally cave to criticism in here and change his subject line? Between this, Trump protesters, N. Korea, and the impending solar eclipse, I think Armageddon is at hand.

I changed it, short of moving it to the smack forum, thinking that it would die down. I guess I should have just locked it while I was at it. Lesson learned.
