Former Rockets/Detroit Lions
I was watching the Lions Pre-season Game yesterday. Storm Norton played a lot and so did Michael Roberts. Roberts made a great catch, stiff armed (2) Indianapolis players and then got smoked by a DB on his way out of bounds. Borderline illegal hit. GO ROCKETS !!

I was at the game in Indy. Only see Norton beat bad once. Seemed to be doing his job. But I am not qualified to scout OL.
Roberts made a lot of catches. With Ruduck the backup QB playing a lot of the game TE passes made sense.
One of the Lions beat writers made a comment about ball security issues. He has watched a lot of practice so that might be part of it.
The hit out of bounds was a big hit. The fumble slash non fumble is something that cant happen Those big hands need to secure the ball. The one ball I saw that looked like a drop might have been thrown too soon or he did not look soon enough. Learning. Lions have a history of TE with drops....Pettigrew most glaring example. Ebron is out so the opportunity is there for him to take a big role

You make some valid points. Chris Spielman was one of the broadcasters and he was talking about ball security too. He was too critical about that play in particular which I thought was uncalled for. Just saying. Normally, I like Chris even though he's a Former Buckeye.

Up here there has been a lot of talk and excitement about Norton coming in for Decker. Not sure it is valid just yet, might be more that they like his size and decent agility. he's still a rookie OL in the NFL. It will be a tough go.
