The T-P finally announced today the commitment of Slocum to Tulane. They are only four days behind the curve.

Speaking of sports coverage, who will fill Buddy D's spot? I happened to turn on WWL during afternoon drive today and they were playing a replay of the Buddy D roast.

Will it be Kaare Johnson? He will lose in the ratings to Gerry V imo. Gerry is a character and this town definitely loves a character. I don't much like him, really.

I wouldn't mind seeing Ken Trahan take over Buddy's slot on WWL. He's a local guy who knows the local sports scene very well and is a good and fair news guy. He's probably not flamboyant enough, though.
