20 Days to Kickoff... #20 Sr. RB Taylor Woods
Taylor is a Management major from Havelock, NC, just an hour south of Greenville, NC. He brings a ton of experience and quality depth to the deep, talented running back corps. Nice change of pace back who had a (Wildcat) package drawn up for him in Schor's absence towards the end of last season against Elon. Greg Madia wrote this recent excellent article about the RB group and Taylor was featured... https://jamesmadison.rivals.com/news/fie...le-things-
Good luck to Taylor in his final campaign in purple & gold. Hopefully he finishes it off with another ring in Frisco and a perfect season.

EW screwed this young man by playing him as a Freshman before he was clearly ready. I would love to see Taylor with another year of eligibility.

Not necessarily specific to Taylor Woods, but I have noticed that the roster weights are being updated periodically. Example: a true fr from the 757 area, K. Moore, has gained 12 pounds; Tucker-Dorsey has put on some lbs. The OL from Campbell has lost weight. Daka's listed weight has gone up at least twice in the last month. Cheatham has lost weight. It 's interesting how some have gained weight, assuming muscle, while others have lost, assuming fat or water weight. But they obviously monitor it closely, or so it appears. Anyone with more direct experience please comment on the mindset concerning weights etc. I honestly thought they just picked a weight that was somewhat close or sounded good and went with it.

I have watched a few practices and what I saw confirmed what Coach had mentioned mid summer about Simeon and Cornell being in the best shape ever. Simeon is now listed at 264. He is sculpted in the core with his waist dimension noticeably a much lower number than in the past. He is quicker and stronger. So my thinking is that coaches value strength and conditioning over extra weight. ( I think the exception is the OL.) In Cornell's case he has added weight but looks much more tight with more muscle and a lot less padding. IMO
