How much input do the players get when selecting uniforms home and away? Anyone have any idea?

Designing uniforms and selecting which ones to wear are different things.

Ok then, Do the players have any input into the design of the uniforms, how many are designed , the occassion for which they are designed ( home, away,special tributes etc) and which ones are to be worn?

I'm not a fan of this initial away look. It resembles a high school jersey, but not like a good high school.

Never thought about that! Nobody calls USC a directional school.

Per the mlive article there will be the white jersey we saw, another white jersey (probably with brown), a black jersey, and a brown jersey. I can't wait to see what the new brown ones look like.

I kind of like the pants. Not the grey part but more the worn, rough texture, like they were old practice bottoms. Now if those were done in very faded gold, with faded brown jerseys, saddle brown leather covered helments, faded brown and gold striped leggings, and high top black shoes, I could maybe dig it. Like for the Central game.

Yup. So when a BCS type person says something derogatory about directional schools, I always ask, "you mean schools like Southern California?"

Usually shuts them up pretty quickly.
