Then let me clarify for you: no Boston College was not being compared to Presbyterian. I was pointing out how ludicrous the idea is of Chicago area Catholics coming to Huskie Stadium just because a Catholic university is playing here.
WE have thousands of alumni in Chicago and regrettably, many of them are oblivious to how successful the football program is. I'm sorry, regardless of the total number of BC alums in the Chicago area, only a percentage will make it to DeKalb and they'll come because they support the Eagles, not because they're Catholic.

I've had 14 years of Jesuit education besides my 4+ years at NIU. Believe me, there are a lot of Catholics that don,'t really consider Jesuits real Catholics. Too liberal for some.

Not back to football yet!! Some interesting Catholic tidbits about this game:
- Confessionals will be opened at half time and after the game! BC will staff these with 9 priests all named Father Murphy, who will also be at Fatty's after the game.
- BC play calling is all in Latin
- "Take a knee" does not mean what we usually think it does
- BC uses wine, not gatorade
- hot dogs will come with wafers...second thought, it's Friday so it'll be fish only

One thing I am not sure we are factoring in is the enrollment. Isnt the enrollment this year as low as its been in some time. Frustrating to hear driving this morning a story on the radio about Ball State having its largest enrollment in some time

Bought an extra ticket on Monday. Asked the ticket office how it was going with sales for this game and they were excited. Hopefully its solid!! Weather to drop into the 40's Friday night into early Saturday morning......

Yep, I'm wearing a sweatshirt and bringing a winter coat. 40s in DeKalb feels like 30s.

204 tickets remain for sale to the public on the East side.

Who knows if NIU is holding any for student guests.

The state budget crisis hurt enrollment statewide it seems. Freshman enrollment is down nearly 10% at ISU.

I'll guess 22k.

I spoke to the head of ticket office and their phone was ringing off the hook. He also expected alot of walk ups on Friday.

Just bought 5 tickets. The ticketmaster seating chart probably isn't the best way to evaluate sales...but the availability seemed pretty low which is a good sign.
