You realize the team is 9 practices into camp right? Every team in the country has position battles going on thru camp, the Huskies currently have one at QB this year. Stop being such an idiot and keep your mouth shut for a change bc youre seriously making this board painful to read and keeping other posters away. You are unbearable.... or are you just a purposeful troll?

The position battles aren't starting until Boston College though, that is my gripe, that is what summer camp should be for! Why wait until the first 6 weeks of the season to straighten things out. Isnt that why coaches get paid , to evaluate talent? Huskiefb4 I take it you are new to being a Huskie fan and have not seen this same thing play out in the past. In the coaching staff's mind, the passing game is not going to be used and all 3 QBs essentially have no value to the coaching staff. Their only value is in their numbers because they are essentially going to be interchanged and rotated through as running backs. We have taken the route of not developing one QB so we can grind them down as running backs, its just ridiculous and I am completely fed up with this

What are you talking about the battles don't start until BC? The battles are happening right now. You can't evaluate talent until they're allowed to practice which there have been only 9 of so far. They are evaluating the talent, Coach Carey even stated in the article that he wants one of them to take the reigns and pull away but they haven't yet. There are still like 20some practices before BC to figure out the starters.
No, been watching the Huskie for a long time growing up close by and know football very well as I played college ball and was recruited by NIU for a time before injuries in HS.
What in the world would make you think the coaches don't want to throw the ball? They seem to be posting WR vs DB and QB throwing drill videos every day on social media... so they're practicing that just to not use it on game day? You're not even a mediocre armchair QB. The system which has lead them to what... 6 of the last 7 MAC championship games isn't a good enough system to you? You're out of your mind. The QBs aren't allowed to develop by this staff? What are you smoking?
Practices are open to the public almost every day from what I've heard... you clearly don't attend but seem to have a 6th sense to just know what's going on what the coach is thinking. Seriously, you keep claiming your going to stop talking about Carey and whatever else. Well that honestly can't happen soon enough. Please go back to your shanty.

Just have seen this movie before and I know the ending

Oh yes... the sequel to that miserable 2014 season season Coach Carey royally screwed up by not choosing the starting QB by game 1. Yes I remember that year as well. Really hope we don't have to watch that movie again...

I am pretty sure Graham was set up to win this job, it wasn't even going to be a competition. It is what it is. To be honest, I don't think coaching even wants to see these QBs separate so it can provide justification to keep the playcalling as conservative as possible.

In 2013, Lynch threw 29 times a game with an average gain of 7.5 yards. In 2015, Hare and Graham threw 29 times agame with an average gain of 7.2 yards. Hare having an average of 7.6 yards. In 2016 the mess of qbs threw 33 times a game. Remove Graham and the average yards per play was 7.4. The offense is identical in passing as it has been for years. Graham has been the one hurting the offense, not Darth Carey. But I know your response to stats that prove you're oblivious to football
fundementals.....humbug! I'd swear at times you're Gabby Johnson from Blazing Saddles, reincarnate. When you try to explain NIUs passing game, all I hear is:
"dad gum it, an no sidewindin bushwackin, hornswaglin, cracker croaker is gonna rouin me bishen cutter."

I think everyone wants to see a starter named before the BC game. The three QB rotatation was really bizarre to witness in the first two games of a regular season. I certainly don't want it to happen again. However, I am worried that Carey will think that things worked out then so might as well do that again... Never saw anybody else have an open audition like that in a regular season game. I'd rather he make a decision based on the practices, talent, previous games, and gut feeling, which is what every other coach seems to do. No coach holds an open audition in a regular season game. They want to give their team the best chance to win the game. I'll be extremely upset if that happens again.

Have you seen Notre Dame football lately. Yes having a 3 QB competition is quite annoying but not unlikely. Notre Dame couldn't pick between Zaire and Kizer . Kind of an extreme example but it does happen. The biggest problem is that neither of that 3 is all that talented or consistent which makes it difficult.

RE: Tribune: Three QBs in the Running for Northern Illinois' Job
It's really not that difficult. The general feeling among the team in 2013 was that Hare was the guy according to Josh our punter, who talked to some of his former teammates. According to Randy, the general consensus among the team is that Santa is the guy. If the team has this sense and gut feeling why is Carey dragging this along? Give Santa the best chance to succeed against BC and it gives the team the best chance. Maybe it already did happen and Carey doesnt want to tip his hand against BC, but if we have an open audition in another regular season game among three QBs then I really question Carey's competence.

All evidence to the contrary.
No offense MD, but it's impossible to take you at your word(s anymore). Since you average over seven posts per day, we're all worried about withdrawal pain, so please take two aspirin and simply stay off your keyboard for just 24 hours. It's doubtful that you'll even make it to the season opener without commenting on Carey again.

7 posts is restraint. Should be 14! And stop spying and stalking me. It's creepy like ewwww.

Anyone who is satisfied with how things are going are the same 8 percent that approve of congress

Why are you the way that you are? I hate so much about everything you say. A majority of people, including myself, want Carey gone. Stop beating a dead horse.
