Quote:Anybody with a full time job would have a hard time getting through their engineering program. And football is pretty much a full time job.

And that pretty much answers the question. You Should expect to see a lot of non-engineering majors at an engineering school, when playing FBS football.

Not everyone at said type of school is Supposed to be an engineering major, so one should expect a wide majority of football players to fall into the less-intensive majors.

For some reason.......none of them wanted to be lawyers like Dad. Lol.

Have heard being in IP Law can be very lucrative, for those who come from science/engineering/technical background.

I think you mean patent law.

IP can be practiced by any lawyer.

IP and patents are different? Filing versus infringement?

Anyway, yes I meant patents.

Not a lawyer...but I think it more comes down to patents vs. copyrights whereas a patent is for an invention and a copyright would be for something like creative expression (i.e. music or a book).

Both of those would be at a high level intellectual property.

In general a patent is specialized whereas a copyright or trademark is not. The patent requires a specific type of attorney with a separate certification. They take another bar exam.

Any attorney can sue over any of them.

Fair enough, that's what I was thinking of.
