Slight correction

Best case scenario for each team is 14-0

Worst case scenario for each team is 0-12.

I guess technically that's true if the team makes the CFP but in reality best case for each team would be 13-0...worst case 0-12.

I was just being facetious because I hate articles that chalk up wins and losses a month before the games start.

I know that is their jobs, to write speculation, but it’s annoying to me. I promise every guy in the locker room thinks they can win every game.

Unless someone is playing Hawaii this year and getting an extra game, no one can play 14 games since we don't have a championship game.

So 13-0/0-12.

If that were to happen the American Conference would really nut up.

Yep. I think in fairness it should be A-State to do the honors since Memphis was probably lose their minds the most. lol

I’m not sure you understand the phrase “best case scenario.”

at Ball State Cardinals
Scheumann Stadium, Muncie, IN
Won 31-19

at Texas State Bobcats
Bobcat Stadium, San Marcos, TX
Won 41-19

South Alabama Jaguars
Georgia Dome, Atlanta, GA
Won 24-10

Troy Trojans
Georgia Dome, Atlanta, GA
Won 31-21

at Georgia Southern Eagles

He's right for at least 3 of those games. The others weren't that close.

NM was a close game.
Ball State was within 5 points with 10 min left.
South Alabama score was 10-10 entering the 4th quarter.

It's crazy to think a worse case scenario for us could be 8-4. Most teams would kill to have that record. I don't buy into these articles much but they aren't really wrong.

...And there are still those that think we should have stayed as the "big fish in the little pond."

If you guys finish less than 8-4 I’d be pissed.

Basically our Best Case is what, Beat Tenn State, Charlotte and then go .500 in conference? "Someone had an article due" explains all of the inconsistencies everyone is alluding to.
