Glen Campbell has left us...
Glen Campbell passed away yesterday at the age of 81. His heyday marked a different time in music.

He was one of my Dad's favorite artists...which is saying a lot, because Dad has never been much into music.

A couple of my favorites from Glen below:

God's speed Glen...
You will be missed...

I love the lyrics for "Gentle on my mind". His music was a part of my childhood and will always be remembered fondly.

He was big in music, tv, and film during my childhood as well. He was very talented.

I'm not ashamed to admit I have his greatest hits cd and listen to it often.

Extraordinary talent. Many don't remember he was a brilliant studio musician before embarking on his solo career. I read that he played on more than 500 recordings many of which became hits for everyone from Sinatra to Elvis to the Mamas and the Papas to the Monkees. He toured with the Beach Boys one year and was invited to join the band during Brian Wilson's absence.

It's a cruel disease; so thankful he may now rest in peace. Thanks for the music and the memories.
