Hopefully Auburn takes note of this and possibly does something similar with us. Happy for you USM guys.

In a last minute effort to sign a series with Ole Piss, USM offered to provide free escorts to the coaches if they would sign a similar deal as MSU did.

Congrats, was hoping they were bringing back the black and blue bowl. Maybe someday. Memphis has a H/H with MSU as well after the current Ole Miss series ends. Kick some SEC tail! SMTTT!

Game 1 (2019) is a straight buy game in Starkville with us rumored to be getting approximately $1 mil. The 2023 and 2024 is a home and home but nothing on the financials of that have been rumored.

For USM fans: do you all have more of affinity for either Miss State or Univ of Miss? Or are both hated equally? Just wondering about the culture the big Mississippi schools.

Sounds like a good deal. Always good to play instate P5 schools. It'd be better if the Hattiesburg game were in the middle. Congrats!

I hate both schools and teams equally. State fans are significantly more offensive than Ole Miss fans, though. They're the kind of people who consider Mexican food "exotic" and spend 12 hours per week in a metal building church.

Will it be C-USA refs for the games in Starkville?

I'm guessing that will be a negative.

It's actually contracted up as a pay game (2019) and a 1-1 series. No word yet on how much for the Pay game. I doubt it's as much as Bama is paying us the same year (close to $2m). I don't like the pay game in 2019, as we also have Troy and Bama road games, with an in-sate FCS team at home. 5 home games is not cool. Hopefully we can move either the Troy or Bama game to another season and get a decent home game to fill the spot.

I'd disagree slightly, Andre.. I always found OlePiss fans the worst (of course, I have to admit I did go to state for one year, and they weren't that much better).
