It has nothing to do with it, I like you guys, but draw your own conclusions...

Good for him good for WKU.

Small Time? Not trying to start an argument but I remember rocking the song "We Takin' Over" in high school that was produced by Khaled and came out in 2007 which featured Akon, T.I. Fat Joe, Lil Wayne, Birdman, and Rick Ross, and it was a huge hit. I agree that he exploded in the last couple of years (snapchat) which was funny because a lot of people knew about him for years lol

RE: DJ Khaled
This endorsement/shoutout/whatever from DJ Khaled may not mean crap on the actual football field.

But it speaks volumes to the young man we have in charge and that should depress any of the haters that are praying to the football gods and sticking pins in Big Red voodoo dolls that Western will be falling off the face of the earth.

I agree with YG that Mike Sanford's youth as a head coach will probably cost us at least one game this year that we should win. Hell, it happened with Brohm his first year in the UAB game for sure and he was a lot older than Sanford as a new coach.

But one of the things I kept hearing when we hired this kid is he's hella recruiter and from the commitments so far this year I've seen nothing to make me not believe that. The fact that he and his staff are hammering Georgia and Florida makes me feel good. I love our local players but our good teams have always had a Florida flavor and I really like Georgia as well. Middle has lived off Georgia for as long as I can remember all the way back to the Boots Donnelly days.

To win at this level it's nice to have an offensive genius like Jeff Brohm was but you absolutely have to have talent. It wasn't just a down CUSA and some luck that let Western roll this damn conference the last two years. There's been some good talent and we can thank Willie Taggart and Petrino and Brohm for that.

If anyone actually watched our players reactions to DJ Khaled's little deal you'd see how psyched these kids are about him.

Sanford knows what makes these young guys tick and having the idea and the connections to pull off DJ Khaled is proof he's tapped in. He did a nice job with a month of recruiting this year. He and this staff are killing it on the recruiting trail and that won't let up any time in the future. We may only keep him one year, you know how it is at our level. But he's working his ass off to keep the coffers full here.

He was a radio DJ in Florida a long time before that song was ever recorded. That's what he was referring to as small time.

WKU has DJ Kaled.

UAB has Sam Hunt & Snoop Dogg.

Anyone else get some entertainer props heading into this season?

As someone who lives in Alabama, this is the truth. Bammers are still talking about him.
