And he secured it, rather than trying to run with it... smart.

Sorry to see Covington going out for the year. Seemed like he was having a good season.

MNF tonight ... Broncos @Chiefs

Jordan Taylor caught his first catch (for a gain of 8 yards) with 25 seconds left in the game, which was won by the Chiefs, 29-19. He was targeted three times. On one, he had the short position of his defender and Siemian threw it very high. Taylor, surely expecting a lower ball, made a last-second awkward leap, which was a few inches short of the ball ... which was then intercepted by the DB behind him.

(If anyone was keeping the stats, this game might well have set a record for combined bad passes thrown by both teams' QBs.)

I didn't see Phillip Gaines on the field, but could easily have missed him. He was not listed in the box score.

The Chiefs activated from IR today CB Steve Nelson, who "likely take the nickel/slot cornerback spot from Phillip Gaines, who has struggled this season."

Nelson made 4 tackles and defended one pass play.

Ugh, OT because it's not Rice related, but Deshaun Watson tore his ACL in practice. That stinks for him and the Texans.

Luke Willson with his 3rd TD of the season just now (and a neat celebration in the endzone where I guess he and his teammates were acting like the Pied Piper?). Seattle trails 10-8 though since its kicker has missed 3 field goals.

Vance McDonald caught his first TD as a Steeler today, and Chris Boswell kicked the game-winning FG as time expired to give Pittsburgh a 20-17 win at Indianapolis. I'm glad Boswell came through in the clutch as he had a rough game otherwise, with a blocked extra-point, and a missed FG off the goal post earlier in the 4th quarter.

Not disputing re the missed FG, but if I recall Hambone correctly, a blocked XP is rarely the fault of the kicker.

I hear that Jordan is going to takeover kick return duties for Denver.
