Basketball OOC announced
Let the jokes and such begin. Rust, Blue Mountain, William Carey and then at Alabama A&M.....Maybe as an exhibition but not as a regular season game.

Southern University New Orleans (SUNO)
@ Michigan
Blue Mountain (part of Pentagon Showcase series)
@ Sanford Pentagon Showcase @ Sioux Falls, SD **games vs South Dakota, Youngstown St, Northern Colorado**
@ South Alabama
Rust
Troy
@ Alabama A&M
William Carey
@ Florida St
vs Mississippi St (played in Jackson, MS)

"This will be one of the most challenging schedules we've had since I've been here, both in and out of conference play," Sadler said.

Don't like the 4 NAIA games, but I get that we have to do it.

Traveling to AAMU is part of a 2-1 deal so we don't have to pay them a guarantee.

I'm with you in that we have to do it. I realize teams are calling to play us since we're a 275 or so RPI team in recent years but I'd like to think we could replace 1 or 2 of those NAIA games with a Tulane, UL Lafayette, SE Louisiana or even UL Monroe. There's too many D1 teams within a 4 hour radius that we "could" play instead of all these NAIA games. I get the Carey game around Christmas as it'll put more than 100 in the Yurt and 1 to start the season to get a game under your belt.

Terrible schedule. With a schedule like that we don't deserve to play in CUSA.

Doesn't matter. Whole season comes down to 3-4 days in Frisco. Very, very tough to get an at-large bid in this league. MTSU won 30 games last year, beat Vandy and Ole Miss OOC, and got a #12 seed after running through the CUSA Tourney.

They're D1.... barely. Finished dead last in RPI and KenPom last season.

Greg Heiar signed a two year contract at LSU for $300,000 per year. Chew on that for awhile.

What I'm getting at is it's embarrassing when our conference mates ***** at us because we're dragging down the conf RPI with our terrible scheduling. Is this seriously the best we can do???

when you get "tyndall'd" and go in with an rpi of 1834i5293485739485739487, it's going to be pretty difficult to find ANYONE that will WANT to put you on their sched.....

if we can win either of the big ones and not chunk grits on the weak ones, we'll be just fine....

RE: Basketball OOC announced
So its still Tyndalls fault? WTFn'F? lol.

This had NOTHING to do with Tyndall or teams not wanting to play USM bc they are scared of their RPI dropping. Come on people! This has to do with Sadler being pathetic and losing to SWAC schools by 20 points, so he has to drop down and play schools he feels he has a better chance to beat in order to save his job.

After listening to you guys, this is the first year under SADler that "we" are suppose to have some decent talent. I would imagine (even after Saddys terrible track record), that he should be able to beat Rust, Blue Mountain, the SWAC schools and maybe a few others. I'm pulling for him to win. However, if he fouls this up and loses to some of those schools, I hope you people will finally stop defending him. Heck, there were people that stuck up for EJ through 8-9 games - IDIOTS! Then he's fired and you woulda thought his "defenders" were preaching how bad his hire was from the beginning. I have a feeling the same will happen with Sadler. Once he's let go / not retained, people will jump on the bandwagon with his suckage.

With Doc down to 2 years left on his contract maybe that was his saving grace thought in scheduling all the NAIA teams. Then again, last year we went to OT or double OT vs them so it's not a guaranteed win. And he in all likelihood scheduled the Michigan and FSU games to pay for the trip this week in the Bahamas.
