Stopping illegal street racing
"Street Racing Made Safe" a 501©3 organization dedicated to the elimination of dangerous illegal street racing will be making a stop NEXT WEEKEND at Memphis International Raceway.

Even if you are not a motorsports fan, keeping the street safe from illegal street racing is a concern for us all. If you know of anyone who has a tendency of having a heavy right foot. This is a place for them to fulfill their desire to drive fast and to do so in a safe manner..

Statistics show that 49 people are injured out of very 1000 people who take part in street racing. This does not include the numbers innocent bystander or drivers who are injured each year by street racers.

One of the main stars on the reality show "Street Outlaws" was charged in the death of 2 people who were hit during a illegal street race in 2015.

The NHRA has openly condemn the show which has been called the worst idea ever for a reality TV show by Automotive blogs.

Face with trash such as this on the Discovery Channel it is important to teach drivers ESPECIALLY younger drivers that the street is not a racetrack. That they have an outlet for their need for speed.

If you or someone you know fancies yourself a another Kenny Bernstein. Then this is the venue you meed to visit. Where safety is important and they have fire and medical equipment on hand available in case you are not as good as you think.

Street Racing | Roll Racing | Dig Racing | Grudge Racing

On August 12, 2017, Street Racing Made Safe, the worlds premier street racing event, is invading Memphis International Raceway. 20/40/60 rolls as well as Digs! $25 to race / $10 to watch / Music from the #TheHeavyHitters Dj Fergie & Dj Springer | Memphis, We hope you're ready!!!!

Street Racing Made Safe is the future of street racing. We are the only 501©3 non-profit organization to legally battle the unmet need of illegal street racers. We accomplish this by hosting safe and organized roll racing events at local tracks.

Street racers are able to compete against other racers in a safe and controlled environment. These are the same cars & drivers you would normally see on the highway, at red light or at your local car meet. Our events give you the opportunity to race without worrying about road conditions, crashing into public property, hitting innocent bystanders or being arrested by police officers. In addition to racing, there are food vendors that sell goods geared towards the street racing culture, Dj’s playing the latest hits, raffles, and giveaways. Most importantly, you can watch all the races from the safety of the stands!

**HELMETS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL RACERS. THERE WILL BE A LIMITED NUMBER AVAILABLE AT THE MERCHANDISE TRAILER FOR RENT - PLEASE REVIEW OUR EVENT RULES WHICH ARE POSTED IN THE DISCUSSION SECTION.**

RE: Stopping illegal street racing
If you prefer to turn your steering wheel while going fast remember that MIR also has a road course where SCCA and NASA hold competition for local races.

And of course you have Riverside Speedway which has been providing Thrills Chills and Spills weekly in season since 1949.

This week is the 5th annual Cody Burks Memorial for 305 Sprints. GA $15 for 12 and up. 11 and under FREE.
