Simple. He needs a foil to fight with. He has no ideas or principles he can defend or stand on so he has to find another to find fault with to distract from his short-comings. If it's not her, it's the media or some random senator. Today it's Dick Blumenthal.

Sydney Blementhal is back in the news because the numbnut party who was pushing russian collusion and not registering as a foreign lobbyist failed to hold Blumenthal to the same standard when they were in charge.
